Delicious and protein-packed spicy wontons with a savory chili oil sauce, perfect for hitting your goals and cravings. This recipe yields 43g protein per bowl.
1. Mix all wonton filling ingredients (ground chicken breast, shrimp, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onion, ginger, garlic, white pepper, salt, cornstarch, and optional collagen/egg white powder) in a bowl until the mixture becomes sticky.
2. Take each wonton wrapper and fill it with approximately 1 teaspoon of the mixture. Seal each wonton tightly.
3. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Carefully add the filled wontons and boil for 4–5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
4. While the wontons are cooking, prepare the chili oil sauce: Combine minced garlic clove, monkfruit sweetener, red chili flakes, Sichuan pepper powder, Chinese five spice powder, chicken bouillon powder, chili crisp, toasted sesame oil, low-sodium soy sauce, and rice vinegar in a separate bowl.
5. Once the wontons are cooked, take 1 1/2 tablespoons of the hot wonton water and add it to the sauce mixture to help bloom the garlic and spices.
6. Drizzle the prepared chili oil sauce over the cooked wontons.
7. Garnish with scallions if desired and serve immediately.
